Overname van toonaangevende Nederlandse specialist in service en reparatie biedt toegang tot nieuwe marktsegmenten en kansen voor internationale uitbreiding.
GXO Logistics, Inc. (NYSE: GXO), ’s werelds grootste dienstverlener in pure-play contractlogistiek, breidt zijn GXO ServiceTech-aanbod uit. De uitbreiding van het aanbod is naar aanleiding van een succesvolle overname van Service Control inHome BV (“Service Control”), een toonaangevende Nederlandse specialist in service en reparatie van huishoudelijke apparaten.
GXO biedt momenteel een scala aan value added services, waaronder volledig beheerde reverse logistics voor elektronische goederen in Noord-Amerika, het Verenigd Koninkrijk en Europa. Onlangs heeft GXO plannen aangekondigd om het aanbod uit te breiden naar Europa en Noord-Amerika, waaronder Frankrijk, Italië, Polen en de VS.
“Service Control is een uitstekende aanvulling op ons GXO ServiceTech-aanbod, zeker nu we onze mogelijkheden blijven uitbreiden naar nieuwe markten,” aldus Richard Cawston, President, Europe bij GXO. “Deze gerichte, aanvullende overname betekent dat GXO toegang krijgt tot nieuwe marktsegmenten en biedt mogelijkheden voor internationale uitbreiding met belangrijke klanten.”
GXO ServiceTech omvat toonaangevende reparatiediensten voor consumentenelektronica die GXO heeft verkregen door de overname van het bedrijf Clipper. GXO ServiceTech is momenteel actief in het Verenigd Koninkrijk, België, Duitsland, Luxemburg en Nederland. In 2022 heeft het bedrijf meer dan 1,5 miljoen consumentenelektronica gerepareerd, waaronder laptops, televisies, displays, mobiele en gaming-apparaten en huishoudelijke apparaten, wat bijdraagt aan een milieuvriendelijkere toeleveringsketen.
Verdere details uit de overeenkomst worden niet bekendgemaakt. Voor deze overname is geen goedkeuring van toezichthouders vereist.

Completed acquisition of leading Dutch service & repair specialist brings access to new market segments and opportunities for international expansion with key accounts
GXO Logistics, Inc. (NYSE: GXO), the world’s largest pure-play contract logistics provider, announced today it is expanding its GXO ServiceTech offering to its customers following the completed acquisition of Service Control inHome BV (“Service Control”), a Netherlands-based specialist for on-site repairs and returns for a range of industry leading home appliance brands.
GXO currently provides a range of value-added services, including fully managed reverse logistics for electronic goods, in North America, the UK and Europe. Recently, GXO announced plans to expand the offering across Europe and North America, including France, Italy, Poland and the U.S.

A part of GXO’s reverse logistics capabilities, GXO ServiceTech comprises the industry leading consumer electronics repair services that GXO gained through its acquisition of Clipper. GXO ServiceTech currently operates multiple sites covering the UK, Belgium, Germany, Luxembourg and the Netherlands. In 2022, the business repaired more than 1.5 million consumer electronics devices, including laptops, televisions, displays, mobile and gaming devices and home appliances, fostering a more environmentally sustainable supply chain.
Terms of the deal are not being disclosed. Regulatory approval is not required.
