On Friday 4 December, the ownership of CE Services Group, including all its legal entities and business units, was changed and Clipper Logistics plc became the full owner.
After 37 years of hard work, with its ups and downs, the Broekman family has been given a unique opportunity to transfer ownership of CE Services Group. At the end of last year Clipper Logistics plc, based in Leeds – United Kingdom, approached CE Services Group for a possible acquisition. After an intensive 'Due Diligence' by Grant Thornton lasting several months and many hours with in-depth discussions, the final stage has been reached, with the formal handover taking place on December 4, 2021.

Clipper, a logistics service provider listed on the London Stock Exchange, has annual sales of approximately £700 million (~€815 million) and strong underlying group EBIT. The acquisition of CE Services Group fits in with their growth ambitions in the field of after-sales services and other value-added services, both in the US and continental Europe. Clipper's core activities are E-fulfillment, Returns Management and Repair Services, based on long-term partnerships by offering complete end-to-end solutions.
During the discussions to reach a final agreement, many similarities were found between the two companies: e.g. entrepreneurial spirit, innovative attitude, pragmatism, customer-oriented no-nonsense culture and (formerly) family business.
After the transfer date, it will be business as usual. The current corporate structure of CE Services Group will remain unchanged, as will the management team and all employees. The service also remains as before with a continuous focus on quality and efficiency improvement.
